Haystack rocking bench
American Oak, Cherry and Walnut. 2005
Designed and made during a scholarship to Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine, USA. The bench is a playful piece that utilizes the strength of bent wood lamination and the layering of different species of wood emphasizes the technique. Haystack invigorated my practice and reminded me of the importance of sharing ideas and learning as part of my working life. I would recommend this place to everyone.
