Under Stairs Cupboard
2022 American FSC Ash, Birch Plywood, Painted Finish.
In collaboartion with Unknown Works architects
Built in around structural steel work and floating cantilevered stairs, this piece incorporated a fridge, big deep drawers and a storage closet to add utility to a beautiful open plan kitchen extension. I used solid Ash uprights and plywood paneling, with 2mm shadow gap detailing to blend fixed panels with door and drawer fronts. I used Soss style concealed hinges on the large floor to ceiling door and there were lots of removable panels for electrical installations and lighting etc.
